Domestic Billing System (DBS) Customer-Facing System

A revamp of an older internal system called WDC (Westports Documentation Centre). I worked mainly on the billing and export release side — rebuilding the logic that calculates charges and rates as the old rules got replaced, and validating that the new numbers matched what was expected under the old system before cutover.

• Rebuilt the export release data process: cut processing time for 5,000+ records from ~8 minutes to ~3 minutes
• Streamlined submission into a single SAP-only workflow, replacing a process that previously ran across 2 separate platforms — reducing manual work for finance

Conventional Reporting System (CRS) Phase 1, 2 & 3 Internal System

An internal system for tracking and reporting on structured records across the conventional team. The data model changed underneath it more than once, so a lot of my work was making sure reports stayed accurate through those changes, plus query optimization as the dataset grew, and features requested directly by the teams using it.

Westports ETP (e-Terminal Portal) 3.0 Customer-Facing System

I support and develop several modules under ETP (e-Terminal Portal), an internal portal for terminal operations. Day to day that's triaging user-reported issues, digging into the database to find root cause, and coordinating fixes with the dev team — usually under time pressure since it's operational, not back-office.

Westports Vulnerability Management Internal System

Contributed to a project focused on summarizing and automating reports extracted from the Qualys system to improve reporting efficiency. Designed and developed both frontend screens and backend processes, ensuring a seamless user experience and robust functionality. Gained hands-on experience in Excel manipulation coding to enhance data processing and automation capabilities.

Geo-fencing Area Calculation Internal System

Built a geofencing feature to map container locations within Westports' container gate area, using the Google Maps API. This was built to counter major road jams that happen when the gate system goes down — giving a way to track container positions even without the primary system running.

Garmin Fitness Dashboard Personal Project

Garmin's UI makes it hard to compare my pace over the past month, so I built my own tracker to actually see the improvement. Since Garmin doesn't offer a public API for individual developers, I pull my stats using the unofficial garminconnect library through a scheduled GitHub Action that writes a JSON snapshot to this repo daily. This page just fetches it client-side to render the widget below — no backend server needed.

Banding Personal Project

Built a free, web-based code diff tool to compare and merge differences between two code files, similar to WinMerge, without needing to install a desktop app. Handles long code inputs that most free web-based diff tools typically restrict or paywall. Deployed and hosted via Render, with source code on GitHub, giving me a lightweight tool to check code differences anytime without local software or subscription costs.
