I build backend systems and dig through legacy data — mostly PHP and databases, plus a fair bit of untangling old Oracle systems so they don't fall over.
I'm a junior IT developer who spends most of my time close to the data — writing backend logic in PHP, keeping databases running, and making sure systems other people rely on don't break without warning. I like the kind of problems where the docs are thin, the system's already live, and getting it wrong actually costs something. Most of what I know now comes from maintaining a few internal backend systems and helping migrate a production database from Oracle to MariaDB — not glamorous work, but it taught me to slow down and check things twice.
A lot of this is internal work, so I'm keeping the descriptions focused on the problem and what I actually did, not the proprietary details.
Role: Developer
An internal system for tracking and reporting on structured records across teams. Mostly backend maintenance and query optimization for me, plus features requested by the people actually using it — keeping the reports accurate even as the data model kept changing underneath.

I help support ETP (e-Terminal Portal), an internal portal used for terminal operations. That's mostly troubleshooting issues users report, digging into the database to figure out what actually went wrong, and coordinating fixes with the dev team.

Another internal system I work on as a developer — building backend features, fixing bugs, and keeping things running as requirements change.

A revamp of an older internal system called WDC. I worked mainly on the billing and tariff side — rebuilding the logic that calculates charges and rates as the old rules got replaced, and making sure the numbers actually matched what was expected.

Role: Contributor — Data Migration & Validation
Helped migrate a production system's database from Oracle to MariaDB. My part was schema mapping between the two engines, writing validation checks to confirm row counts and values matched after the move, and testing the application's queries against the new database to catch syntax differences before they became bugs.
